Having Munch art appraised

The appraisal of an original work by Edvard Munch should only be performed by a seasoned professional. Though the demand for his work is always high, the market can be volatile and hammer prices tend to vary.

Don’t settle for less than the best

At Munch Experts, we start by evaluating the sale record and current state of the economy. We also consider factors such as condition, rarity and artistic merit. These qualities are not easy to quantify, but could mean a difference of millions.

Our appraisers are licensed by the USPAP, Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice. They are well-respected individuals with years of industry experience.

Consider appraisal, even if you’re not considering sale

The primary motivations for an appraisal are sale, insurance or simply to satisfy curiosity. We also help with estate valuation, tax-deductible donations and divorce settlements. It is recommended to have a new appraisal performed every five years to reflect fluctuations in the market.
